Meet Freya Shoffner |
|
Freya established Shoffner & Associates in 2000 after nine years with one of Boston's oldest law firms. Before becoming a member of the Bar, Freya ran two successful businesses of her own. She has since gained extensive experience in business law, tax law, estate planning, probate practice, bankruptcy, and real estate matters. Freya knows every aspect of small-business management inside and out. She purchased three popular franchises at the age of twenty-five, and formed a specialty dental products company before she was thirty. Freya continues to advise entrepreneurs on many aspects of business managment, and she uses her experience to help each of her business clients exceed their goals time after time. In her work with individual clients, Freya often uses sophisticated estate planning and charitable giving strategies that save her clients thousands of dollars in estate taxes. Similar techniques help her meet the estate planning needs of non-traditional families and small businesses. No matter how large -- or small -- the estate, Freya makes sure that your assets will work their hardest for you now, in the future, and for the generations to come. Freya serves as a trustee of many individual and family trusts. She is responsible for investment and distribution decisions as well as tax reporting and payment. Her solid decisions ensure that the trust assets will be preserved and enhanced well into the future. Her service to the community includes working as a member of the Board of Directors of the Newbury Street League, and many years as a Trustee of the First Congregational Church in Marshfield. She is admitted to the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the United States Appeals Court (1st Circuit), the United States Tax Court, and the United States Bankruptcy Court District of Massachusetts. |
